Social Media: In-House vs Agency in Nigeria

Social Media: In-House vs Agency in Nigeria

Every growing business in Nigeria hits the same decision: should you hire someone in-house to run social media, or work with an agency? Both can work. The right answer depends on your stage, your budget, and how much you value consistency. Here is an honest comparison.

The case for in-house

An in-house social media manager lives and breathes your business. They are always available, they know your customers, and they can post in the moment. The catch is cost and coverage. One person is one skill set, and social media needs several: strategy, copywriting, design, video, and paid ads. One hire rarely does all of those well, and when they take leave, everything stops.

The case for an agency

An agency gives you a team for the price of less than one senior hire: a strategist, designers, a copywriter, and ad specialists, all coordinated. You get consistency, because the work does not depend on one person's availability, and you get range, because different specialists handle different parts. The trade-off is that an agency is not sitting in your office, so communication and clear briefs matter.

The real question: consistency

Most social media efforts fail for one reason. They start strong, then go quiet when the person responsible gets busy. Whatever you choose, the goal is a system that keeps producing, week after week, whether or not any single person is available. That consistency is what compounds into a real audience.

How we work

Our social media management service is built around that idea. We handle strategy, content, community management, and paid campaigns, and we report on what is working every month. You approve everything before it goes live, so you keep control without the daily workload.

Make the content stronger

Whichever route you choose, the content has to stop the scroll. Pair your social presence with a strong brand identity for a consistent look, and use AI content generation for a steady stream of fresh visuals without a studio.

How to decide

If you are large enough to need someone in the room every day and can afford a full team, in-house can work. If you want a full skill set, consistency, and results without the overhead, an agency is usually the better value. Tell us your goals and we will tell you honestly which fits.
